Wargrave Cross Country Series.

Since 2011, Wargrave Runners has entered the Thames Valley Cross Country League each year. This is a winter series of races, over varied terrain, typically in the region of 5 to 6 miles distance. There are 7 races in the Series, which are organised by local running clubs. Wargrave does not host an event, but in our inaugural year we did finish a very respectable mid table, with 11 affiliated teams taking part. You have to be part of a team to run, but it does cater for all levels of runner – from experienced international to first timer.
In brief, the first 6 (men) or 4 (women) of each team to cross the line score points for their team. However, there is no limit on the number of runners we can enter, and even if you finish last this can still help the team, because you may make the other teams score worse. Full details of rules and dates are set out at http://www.tvxc.org.uk/ and it only costs £3 a race to enter.
