5K Series
This is a "closed" series...by which we mean ENTRY IS RESTRICTED to MEMBERS of the organising clubs (and a small number of Guests).
In association with 5 other running clubs from the Thames Valley, Maidenhead AC, Burnham Joggers, Marlow Striders, Datchet Dashers and Handy Cross Joggers, Wargrave Runners participate in a series of evening 5K races held in the Summer on a fortnightly basis.
Each club organises an event in its own locale and provides after race refreshments and the opportunity for members from each club to mingle, swap injury stories etc. etc. etc. As in any running event there is always an element of competitiveness but these events are generally of a relaxed nature and provide an opportunity for runners of all ages and abilities to test themselves over a not too taxing distance and in a friendly atmosphere. Guest runners from each club are also accommodated.

CLUB LEAGUE : Club Runners are awarded points according to their finish position (or if they dont run for the last runner home), the aim is to accumulate as few points a possible so regular running really pays off here....Prizes are awarded to the 1st Lady, 1st Man and also to the most improved runner since the 2010 series.
